Anonymous Survey

While respecting anonymity, these observations were shared by multiple members of our community.  If anything here is incorrect, please reach out to chris@chrisforcorvallis.com, and I will correct the information.

• Families Leaving District - many responses report decisions to leave, or considering it depending on whether these cuts go through or not

• Teachers Told Too Late / Contract Renewal - many responses regarding how late the announcement was given to teachers, and much confusion around contract renewals.  Staff who were let go after already signing for next year.

• Losing families in significant numbers - many responses about neighbors who have left and the large number of families no longer engaging the district

• Potential Parents Very Concerned - multiple responses from potential families concerned about class sizes, test scores, art/music/library services

• IEPs not followed - reports of lack of staff and resources to support existing IEPS, both from parents and staff

• Adminstartion Raises during Cuts - many responses from staff, parents, and community regarding increases to district salaries while cutting school staff and services

• Cuts to Electives are Wrong - many, many responses about cuts to music, art, choirs, orchestra, library, and arabic
